How to Connect Your Domain to Our Link Shortener Service

Follow these simple steps to update your domain settings and connect to our system.

Step 1: Log in to Your Domain Registrar

Your domain registrar is where you bought your domain (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains).

  1. Log in to your domain registrar account.
  2. Find the “DNS” or “Nameservers” settings.
  3. If your domain is already using Cloudflare, skip to Step 3.

Step 2: Change Your Nameservers to Cloudflare

To use Cloudflare for security and SSL, you must update your nameservers.

  1. Go to Cloudflare.com and sign up for a free account (if you don’t have one).
  2. Click “Add a Site”, enter your domain (e.g., yourdomain.com), and click “Continue”.
  3. Cloudflare will scan your current DNS settings. Click “Continue”.
  4. Cloudflare will give you two nameservers (e.g., ns1.cloudflare.com, ns2.cloudflare.com).
  5. Go back to your domain registrar’s nameserver settings and replace your existing nameservers with Cloudflare’s nameservers.
  6. Click Save and wait for the changes to update (this may take a few hours).

Once your domain is using Cloudflare, continue to Step 3.

Step 3: Point Your Domain to Our Server

After your domain is connected to Cloudflare, update your DNS settings:

1. Add an A Record:

  • Type: A
  • Name: @ (for the root domain)
  • IPv4 Address: 145.239.18.16
  • Proxy Status: Enabled (Orange Cloud)
  • Click Save

2. Add a CNAME Record:

  • Type: CNAME
  • Name: www
  • Target: i3i7.com
  • Proxy Status: Enabled (Orange Cloud)
  • Click Save

Step 4: Enable SSL in Cloudflare

  1. Go to Cloudflare Dashboard → SSL/TLS
  2. Select “Flexible SSL” (or “Full SSL” if your domain supports HTTPS).
  3. Save the settings.

Step 5: Verify Your Domain on Our System

Once the DNS changes are complete, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Domain Page: https://i3i7.com/domain
  2. Enter your domain name and click Verify.
  3. If your A record or CNAME is correctly pointed, your domain status will change to Verified.

Step 6: Use Your Domain for Shortened Links

  1. Once verified, your added domain will appear on the URL Shortener page:
  2. Now, you can use your own domain to generate short URLs! 🚀

Done! Your domain is now ready to use for shortening links.

DNS changes may take a few minutes to a few hours to fully update.
